Leaky stock pet cock sucks

This early stock style pet cock was constantly seeping gas..changed brass washer, but didn't work.
I took tank of the bike, to pressure test to find crack somewhere .

Then find this , nicks on washer surface.. Several of them.. Urgh.

Now I have re-surface washer surface. But it needs to be square to the threaded bore in order to seal good.
So I asked my head mechanic for advice.

She was busy , so I had to come up with my own strategy,,sipped coffee in pot I made in the morning tasted nasty , so I popped open nastier cheap beer,,making a note to myself , get tasty Asahi beer next time.

After Few scratching head moments

So I took beat-up used stock pet cock seat which goes in that bore,, machined it , leaving its shoulder just enough so that this piece would jam up not to spin.

Then I made a slot do I can turn it in&out with rachet & flat tip socket .

Forgot to mention, i found this Petcock rod seat Assy has sleeve inside, which was perfect slip fit for 5/16 pilot for valve guide cutter

Chuck the little fucker in drill, slip it in and cut the surface with light pressure,

It came out pretty good for improvised jam session.

Wondering if there's tool for this,,
